Gratitude 6 Food

I am grateful to have food enough to thrive, to be creative, to nourish others, to waste. I should waste less, give more, be more frugal and patient with what I have. I believe our food should be a deep delight, healthy in it’s hedonistic qualities-a ripe local strawberry or peach in the south, wild salmon and blackberries in the PNW, real corn in the midwest. Cherries from cherry trees.

These are precious jewels, the foods we eat that give their lives for us, and yet we seem so hungry.

I’m grateful that I’m fed. I’m grateful I’m hungry enough to think about why.
