Chilly and Quiet

There was a cold front this weekend. The temperature dropped into the 50’s which is an ideal feeling, bodies happy to cuddle under blankets, toes just cold enough to want stockings and boots, jackets and sweaters for shoulders to snuggle into. The weekend, and the days leading up to it, were full of production, events, theater plans, fundraising planning, listening and coaching. Lots of extroverted focus, so now I am feeling internal and quiet.

The weather is perfect for that mood, for tub soaks and book reading, for trips to the Halloween store and for cozy meditation. Perhaps some chili fixing, some outdoor chats while wrapped in blankets enjoying the waning moon.

Perhaps not a lot of thinky talky posts this week, perhaps photos of ongoing holiday festivities. All depends on the news and on my mood. But for now, I’ll enjoy the shivering and bite of the air.

I was fine until last night. It was just too cold in N. Texas for someone living solo. And probably even those with partners. Brrrr. The Sun is back this morning and Global Chilling is being held at bay, once again.

  2. Julie: A great piece of writing. You and I both have Dad’s writing skills. I owe you a long e-mail. Will try and do that today. Peace and Joy and Love, CarolAnn Mills
