Last week it was Kraft Mac And Cheese, a non elegant food if ever there was one. A non food too!
This week I’m thinking about pork loin. And figs. Some kind of syrup with rosemary in it. Maybe a pork loin marinated in balsamic and honey syrup infused with rosemary, baked with figs. Served with roasted cauliflower. Maybe mashed parsnips. Maybe chicken in a poblano cream sauce and spring green beans (haricot verts if you want to dress it up!) Or seared scallops, blood orange, and brown sugar. Sometimes the urge to cook is an urge to commune, for meals like these aren’t just for one.
